SLAM = French TV show "Surtout L'Après-Midi". It was shown on the newly born Canal Plus channel in encrypted mode. It was a daily afternoon TV show and very few people could watch it. Only a few people at the time had subscribed for the expensive decoder to watch and record this channel, hence the rarity of this video. In the early years, Canal Plus was broadcasting using the old VHF channel (instead of UHF), the one that was being used in the 60’s for black and white TV. It gave a horrible picture and a very unsteady one, because of the weakness of the signal (we had to rely on personal little home antennas instead of the big ones placed on the roofs for UHF).
